tags of 2013 - inspired by Tim Holtz

Oh my ! I'm so inspired by the Tim Holtz tags of 2013 that I just had to have a go myself!

I'm new to the world of distress (other than the distress that comes with life lol ) & alterations so this is a learning curve for me. Also I haven't managed to build up my collection of the wonderful creative products that are available so I'm working with a minimal range.....I would so LOVE to have more, especially after seeing the new items that will be coming sometime later this year !

I'm aiming to create a tag for each month of 2013 along with other pieces I feel inspired to make....

almost finished - I'm quite happy how the " 2013 new years resolution ticketometer tag" has turned out but I still feel it's lacking something...

and I know what it is - gears ! now as I don't yet have any of the tim holtz  gear dies or  metal  gear cogs (die now ordered !) I have had to manufacture my own using shrink plastic gear cogs which I then distressed. I couldn't get the one on the side of the ticket machine to show very well but that's down to my lack of photography skills (and the fact I'm using my phone to take the pics :)
